Travel notes: you cannot bring that aboard
Mass budget, power adapters, and a short list of things that will not survive the manifest.
· Ops Desk
Most conference travel advice is about airport transfers. Ours is about mass.
You get seven kilograms. That is the personal allowance, and it includes whatever you are wearing on the way up. People consistently underestimate laptop chargers and overestimate how much they will read.
Power is 28V DC. Bring the adapter. There are loaners at the ops desk, but there are fewer loaners than attendees, and this is the single most common thing people forget.
Things that will not make the manifest: pressurized cans of anything, powdered supplements in unmarked containers, and — this comes up more than you would think — potted plants. We are sympathetic. The answer is still no.
Things you should bring: a paper notebook, because tablets are competing for the same charging capacity as everything else, and it is genuinely nice to take notes without a battery percentage in your peripheral vision.
Full logistics packet goes out to registered attendees two weeks before the doors open.
